Over the past few years, Telecommunication Service Providers (TSP’s) worldwide are modernizing their infrastructure by deploying optical fiber cables to build their Next Generation Network (NGN) to offer higher bandwidth and additional broadband services (e.g. Multi Channel TV broadcasting, VoD, etc.).  These copper networks, which were used for decades, will become useless gradually and represent a valuable asset that can be converted to liquid cash. Recovery and recycling is a complex project and not a natural part of TSP business strategy.  Temporary projects such as this require dedicated focus and strong ability to execute on the recovery project, an understanding of the copper recycling process, and commodities business.  Hence, for many TSP the value of their old outdoor plant is perceived as sunk cost, mainly due to the challenges involved in recovery and recycling.

Recros was founded in order to support the TSP’s in maximizing the value of this copper infrastructure by planning and managing a turn-key solution for copper cable recovery recycling.  Recros offers a one-stop, no-hassle turnkey solution that is transparent and guarantees maximum recovery and profit for TSP without the need to take any exposure. Or without diluting economies of scale and scope by dealing with multiple contractors and buyers.
